Before I go into details with the Synergy business opportunity I'd like to address some concerns about network-marketing in general:
Many people still feel uncomfortable with Multi Level Marketing companies (MLMs) because of a bad experience in the past, they may have been involved with a company like Amway or Herbalife, storing products in their garage and selling them to friends and family, or they have heard that MLMs were illegal pyramid scams.
Most of today's network-marketing systems involve a distributor referring a new member and receiving a compensation for their recommendation. Many big corporations like AT&T or AOL now use the same approach. They reward their members for recommending their products and save millions in advertising at the same time.
However, MLMs do have a pyramid structure, as traditional businesses do, too. On top of every company is the boss or CEO, below him maybe VPs, some levels of managers and at the bottom those "who do the work". The main difference is that in a network-marketing company high income earners can be created anywhere, not just on top of the organization. That rarely happens in a traditional firm.
(The "illegal" aspect of a pyramid system addresses the sale of pure memberships without any real product.)
